Full Stack Developer – i=Change

Job description

Situated in the heart of Cremorne, Richmond, you will lead web development, integrate our custom-built apps into retailers’ websites, build new platform features and tools, and manage the full tech stack.

You are highly motivated and enthusiastic. You are exceptional at problem solving and developing scalable solutions. You have an eagle-eye for integrating front-end design. You enjoy working with revolving projects and priorities.

To be considered for this position, you must have the following skills and experience:

  • A formal qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar
  • At least two years’ experience building responsive websites in a full-stack capacity

Very strong technical skills in:

  • PHP / MySQL / Laravel / JavaScript / WordPress / Rich User Interface
  • Versatile in Frontend and Backend development

Functional technical skills in:

  • jQuery
  • Responsive web development
  • Building and integrating APIs
  • Programming techniques and JavaScript debugging in the browser and on the server
  • Photoshop (desired but not essential)

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing, improving and building upon our full tech stack to ensure most efficient performance of the platform and website
  • Building new site (WordPress) and database (MySQL) features – from scope to solution
  • Integrating 3rd party systems and applications into our Laravel database architecture
  • Managing the numerous Apps and plug-ins built for Shopify, Big Commerce, Magento etc, and optimising for growth
  • Supporting App integrations with retailers and communicating with other tech teams as required
  • Implementing front-end designs with pixel-perfect precision
  • Troubleshooting and improving upon our existing systems
  • Q&A testing, documentation, version control and communication via Jira & Confluence

  • Are always looking for ways to optimise and improve the platform according to the latest technologies
  • Are familiar with API’s and can set up integrations with other 3rd party platforms, such as email marketing (Campaign Monitor, Klaviyo, etc)
  • Can collaborate with designers to update a responsive web experience, including the use of video
