About Sentient Bionics
Sentient Bionics is a young company, with a young, diverse, and motivated team. We’ve been developing robotic and prosthetic hands in Melbourne for over half a decade. During that time we have worked with prosthetic users, hospitals and industry partners to develop a range of grippers suitable to satisfy everyday human and robotic needs. Familiarity, versatility and affordability are the core of our product ethos and so we have developed hands which allow people and robots to interact in a natural, and effective way.
While Sentient Bionics is a start-up, we have the benefit of working in the same office and umbrella of a very established and successful tech company, Sentient Vision Systems. This allows us access to more resources and mentorship than is typical for such a young company.
Our company culture is very easy going and friendly, we wear casual attire most days, work flexible hours, and have regular social events including bake-offs, BBQ’s, and after work drinks together with the entire office of 40+ people.
Who we need to join our team
In all our employees we value independent, critical thinkers. Currently the team is mostly made of engineers, and we’re looking for someone who can keep up with the technical aspects of our development but also bring a fresh style of thinking, and someone who can support our team with business development.
We’re looking for someone with ambition, who could grow this role and our company through the opportunities and industry relationships they acquire. This role comes with a choice of equity options, and we expect it to become an executive position as our company grows. In the last few months Sentient Bionics has seen rapid product development and has attracted lots of interest within the industry, hence our need for more capacity to manage those relationships.
