Startup Success Series: Navigating the New Talent Pool

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a huge economic impact on almost all industries. Some are booming and hustling to keep up with demand, while others are struggling or have already ground to a halt. Many Australians find themselves unemployed, with the jobless rate in Australia hitting the highest it’s been since 2015.

In the past few weeks, many startup employees and experienced corporate professionals have entered the available talent pool. With this change comes opportunity; startups and founders now have a rare chance to secure more than their fair share of bright talent to help their startup grow.

Specifically, we’ll aim to cover:

  • What is the new talent opportunity
  • The types of talent available right now
  • Why hiring now can give your startup a growth advantage
  • How to sort the best and brightest from the new talent pool

The session will be run as a virtual fireside chat with expert panellists Paige Pomare, Head of Talent & Engagement at Who Gives A Crap and Mitch King, Talent Acquisition Manager at Linktree. The panel discussion will be moderated by Poppy Trewhella, Director of Programs and Partnerships at Startup Victoria.

There will be time allocated for participant Q&A and resources will be shared on the Startup Victoria website after the event.

The first 100 tickets are free of charge.
