Open Innovation Competition

For August's Pitch Night, Startup Victoria are proud to be hosting City of Melbourne's Open Innovation Competition on August 19th.
City of Melbourne have invited innovators, entrepreneurs, businesses, students and the community to find ways to help eliminate the 800,000 tonnes of waste created within the City of Melbourne boundary every year.
After six weeks of exploring how to use data and technology to reduce waste in our city and make for a more transparent circular economy, the finalists are ready to present their best ideas at the Open Innovation Competition pitch night.
Winners will be announced on the night with a number of exciting prizes up for grabs including a slice of the $30,000 cash prize pool, entry into the University of Melbourne’s Velocity Program and RMIT’s LaunchHub program, plus a product discovery workshop with creative agency Mo Works.
The international prize winner will have the opportunity to test and adapt their solution for the Indonesian and global market with help from The Greater Hub at Bandung Institute of Technology and the City of Bandung. This program also includes a three-month hot desk membership from Melbourne-based co-working hub, 11th Space.
Pitch finalists will be announced closer to the date. To attend the virtual Pitch Night event, please register your details via the event link.
