Announcing Startup Victoria’s new home!

Hey everyone!

I’d love to announce that Startup Victoria has moved house to The Commons! Starting this November, we’ll be working out of the QV space on Albert Coates Lane.

As an organisation supporting the entire founder community here in Victoria, we want to make a point of spending more time exploring that community and getting to know founders located in a variety of spaces. To that end, it makes sense for our team to migrate from space to space more often.

The Commons is an amazing space full of incredible people and we’re extremely excited to become a part of the family!

Here’s a little blurb from The Commons’ team about what they do:

The Commons is a creative shared workspace with locations in Sydney and Melbourne.

Our spaces are designed with the belief that thoughtful design is essential to improving the lives of our members. We are home to businesses like Paypal, Vice, Transferwise, and freelance creatives looking to grow their business.

We provide a wide range of services and events to inspire their ideas and pique their interests. Each member has access to our wellness program and to a diverse array of events, from inspiring workshops, community events, special guest speakers and more.

We offer flexible memberships with access across all locations.

In 2019, we invested in renewable energy, completely offsetting our CO2 emissions for every location.

We are currently saving more than 575 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year. CO2 emissions are one of the leading causes of global warming. While converting to renewable energy is clearly the biggest impact we can make right now, we also know the value of even the smallest conscious efforts.

CreativeCubes.Co's wordmark.

We’ll definitely miss CreativeCubes.Co. Personally, it was my first experience in a co-working space and it’ll always have a special place in my heart. The Happiness Team on-premises is always willing to help out, and the space itself is really comfortable. If you’re located in the Cremorne/Richmond area, I highly recommend you check it out and see if the space is a good fit for you!

Startup Victoria will also be partnering with CreativeCubes.Co for a Pitch for a Spot event in February 2020. This is a great chance to pitch to a team of judges with the potential of winning a desk at CreativeCubes.Co for a year! Keep an eye out on our newsletter (sign up here!) and our website for more information closer to the date.

If you find yourself in The Commons QV, be sure to drop by and say hi. We always love to get to know the members of our community!

Cheers,
Jared
